Reuced portal vein velocity <15 cm/s. That was me in May 23. Now its normal at 28 cm/s. The liver can recover !
Large spleen
A larger than normal spleen is called Splenomegaly. this means a spleen size of over 12 cm.
Recanalization of the Paraumbilical vein
God gave you this (PV) at birth. It normally staty stays dormant, after birth.
But when the portal vein pressure is too high, the body uses the renmant of the paraumbilical vein (PUV) like a pressure valve release.
If its over 3mm and has outward liver flow, thats abnormal.
It can cause Encepthalopathy (foggy brain).
Portosystemic varices
Portosystemic varices. These are small varices, that indicate high pressure in the portal vein.
